Whenever Spies Hecker invites bodyshops to send in pictures of their best work, it doesn’t take long for them to reply. Whatever the object – a classic car, helicopter, race car or truck –the internationally renowned Masterpieces Calendar from the Cologne-based paint maker is again showcasing outstanding painting work in 2010. No less diverse than the painted objects are the teams that have competed for the twelve calendar sheets. “The response to the competition was overwhelming. Over 200 bodyshops around the world submitted their crowning achievements this year,” explains Peter Wingen of Spies Hecker Marketing. “We even received participation inquiries from Indonesia.” The twelve pictures have now been decided on, as have the competition winners:
1st place: 1956 Rometsch Beeskow Convertible – Lackiererei Seebacher, Germany
2nd place: 1958 Chevrolet Corvette - Danmar Autobody, South Africa
3rd place: 1941 Ford pick-up - Mosegaards Autolakering ApS, Denmark
